This assignment helps you develop a description of your current reflective voice and to identify ideals and values that you fell should guide its development.

In a 4 page typed, double-spaced paper describe and critically evaluate your reflective persona. Start by developing a rich description of your persona. Identify your responses to various types of deliberative contexts, think about people in your life who you think have a sophisticated or admirable reflective voice. Try to use examples from your own experience to describe your voice. In the second part of the paper, identify some ideals of reflection (consider those in the reading and others that you value) and some aspects of your persona that you would like to affirm, develop, or change. Only commit to changes that you believe you should make and try to articulate.

Rubric: Successful papers accomplish the two main goals of the assignment (description and evaluation) equally well, using college-level prose. Descriptive detail, a sense of the writer's identity, and evidence of self-reflection are key evaluative criteria for this assignment.
