In MS Word
- General advice for many versions of Word. [1]
- In MSWord, click "File-->Info-->Check for Issues-->Inspect Document-->Inspect. You will see an option to delete author information if it is found.
- In MacWord, file -> properties -> summary. But this may only remove your name from the specific file.
In Google docs
- To save a google doc as a .docx file, click "File" and "Download" and follow prompts for .docx. In a recent test, I found that my name did not get attached to the .docx file. You can go into your google account and set your name to "anon" if your wish. [2]
