The Pharmacy Technician Study Guide Curriculum

One of the tasks of a pharmacy technician is assist the pharmacist in the enforcement, in the establishment and updating of client files and in the distribution and sale of drugs and pharmaceuticals. - Hold a high school diploma (DES) or its recognized equivalent.

- Be at least 16 years of the school year during which training starts and have earned credits in the fourth secondary language of instruction, second language and mathematics in programs of studies established by the Minister, or be granted equivalent learning.

- Be at least 18 at the time of entry into the program and have passed the General Development Test (GDT) and the specific prerequisites for the desired program, or the equivalent learning recognized.

For the person who obtained the third secondary units in language of instruction, a second language and mathematics is further required in the pharmacy technician study guide curriculum established by the Minister, concurrently with their vocational training, general education courses to obtain the credits they are missing in the following: Secondary 4 in language of instruction, second language and mathematics in programs of study established by the Minister.
