Class,

Most of you are being more specific about how you identify viewpoints and theories. I'm not sure if I'm noticing a change in the way you represent studies or not. I'm still listening for that.

My big coaching advice for this week is to try to take more critical stands. Let's get beyond accurately representing viewpoints and start venturing our own ideas about them. You're going to get more of Haidt's theory and some other theoretical tools (like the Prisoner's Dilemma) in the unit starting tomorrow, so there should be plenty to respond to.

Try to put forward a thesis or claim about the value of something that you are reading in the coming unit. In practice, let's move away from strictly answering study questions in the chats and toward critical philosophical discussion.

Enjoy.
