Article has some interesting claims according to PETA that animals go crazy in captivity. Supposedly they swim in circles, groom themselves until there is no hair or feathers left on their body, and pacing back and forth. According to PETA, they either die of boredom or snap and revert to their animal ways. According to people working for zoo associations, however, they are actually happy and instill in viewers the want to help other animals that are unhappy in the wild.
