Alfino, Mark
Introduction: Originally from the East coast, I studied philosophy at The University of Texas at Austin in the 1980s and have worked at Gonzaga since 1989. I am married and have two adult sons, Christopher and Nicholas. I have taught a wide range of philosophical topics, especially focusing on practical philosophy, including ethics, happiness, and wisdom. Currently, I am working on topics in Philosphy of Culture and the nature of food.
Barbarossa, Michael
[1] I am currently a sophomore, majoring in Philosophy and Classical Civilizations with a minor in Catholic Studies. I am also a seminarian at Bishop White, meaning that I am preparing for graduate studies in theology and ordination to the Catholic priesthood. I am from Federal Way, Washington. I enjoy playing the piano and accordion, as well as hiking and bicycling. It is a pleasure to be in this class with all of you and I am looking forward to a great semester.
